Medicinal Uses for Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has some fantastic medicinal qualities? As we head into what is typically known as “cold and flu season,” there are some amazing (and easy) uses for coconut oil that can help soothe and heal the body.  When you feel under the weather or are recovering from illness, think coconut oil. One Tablespoon of Coconut Oil can be added to ginger tea to relieve an upset stomach or even that annoying heartburn. It can also be added to your choice of hot tea to aid in cold and flu recovery or to alleviate a sore throat.

When adding coconut oil to hot beverages, please note that the coconut oil will melt and be very hot, so allow your beverage to cool a little before adding it. You will want to stir your drink periodically as the coconut oil will rise to the top. Coconut oil can contribute to a healthier life!
